PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN DAN DISIPLIN TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI DENGAN MOTIVASI KERJA SEBAGAI PERAN MEDIASI
(STUDI KASUS PADA BADAN PENGAWAS PEMILIHAN UMUM RI)
Abstract
The Indonesian Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu RI) is a crucial institution in organizing elections to create a democratic government. Its performance will impact the quality of Indonesian democracy. This study aims to determine the extent to which leadership and work discipline influence employee performance at Bawaslu RI, as well as the role of work motivation as a mediating variable in this relationship. This study employed a purposive sampling technique. The study employed a quantitative approach, collecting data through a survey of Bawaslu RI employees. Data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique. The results showed that discipline significantly impacted employee performance, both directly and through a mediated motivational variable. While the leadership variable only had a significant impact when mediated by the motivational variable, the leadership variable was not significant on employee performance directly.
