Abstract

This study examines the development of e-commerce  from the COVID-19 pandemic period to 2024 and analyzes their implications for Indonesian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The pandemic accelerated digital transformation, leading to significant shifts in consumer behavior and business management practices. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach based on a systematic literature review of official publications and empirical studies from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Bank Indonesia, and digital economy reports. The results reveal that the adoption of e-commerce has positively influenced MSMEs’ business performance by enhancing market reach, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening managerial capabilities. Additionally, e-commerce has contributed to the resilience and competitiveness of MSMEs in the post-pandemic digital economy. These findings highlight the importance of sustained policy support, digital infrastructure development, and digital literacy programs to ensure inclusive and sustainable MSME growth in Indonesia.
